South West Animal Rescue

South West Animal Rescue operates entirely on volunteers. We are always seeking and welcoming people who are interested in the rescue, rehabililation and rehoming of abandoned domestic animals. From foster caring to fundraising, attending meetings and markets SWAR has a role for you

Foster Carers - caring for animals in your own home until they are ready for rehoming.This is a fantastic way to assist and a perfect way to have the love and enjoyment from a dog, cat, puppy, kitten or even rabbit, without taking on the lifetime responsibility. SWAR provides all vet work and where possible, food donations. You just need to open up your heart and homes to one of our loving animals.

Volunteers - many volunteer roles are available. Our committee meets on a monthly basis and makes decisions on the direction of SWAR and other matters. Guests are always welcome and there is no pressure to join, we just like to see new faces! Our volunteers assist at market days around Bunbury - perfect if you love to talk as people are always interested in finding out what we do. Perhaps you enjoy baking? SWAR volunteers bake dog biscuits to assist with fundraising. The list is endless, but we need volunteers to continue and support the abandoned domestic animals in the South West.

Pet Food Donations - If you would like to make donations of pet food (dog and cat tinned food and dry food), kitty litter, pet treats and toys, you will now find green donation bins (courtesy of Bunbury City Council) at PICTON PRODUCE and HARRADINES VETERINARY CLINIC. We have a basket outside JANNYS CAFE in the Stirling Centre also for donations.  You can also donate at the NEIGHBOURHOOD DELI in Charles Street Bunbury.

Sponsorship - South West Animal Rescue have a sponsorship program available. Choose the animal who you would like to help and receive a photo, information and a certificate of heartfelt thanks for your generous support. Please email or call for more information about our sponsorship program.
